We collect information you provide directly to us:
- Name and email address
- Profile photo (optional)
- Payment information (processed securely via PayPal, we never store card details)
- Books you purchase or upload
- Reading progress and library data
- Posts, replies, and likes in PostFliks
- For authors selling hardcover or paperback books: a physical shipping address, searched and confirmed via Geoapify and OpenStreetMap-based mapping
- For buyers of hardcover or paperback books: a delivery address and contact details needed to fulfill the order

- Provide and maintain our services

- Deliver author royalty payouts via PayPal
- Send notifications about activity on your content
- Improve the Platform and personalize your experience

- Route and track hardcover and paperback book orders between authors and buyers, including determining whether cross-border delivery is available for a given order
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- PayPal for payment processing and author payouts
- Cloudflare for secure file storage
- Geoapify, for address search and geocoding when an author sets up hardcover or paperback delivery (only the address text you search for is sent to Geoapify - see their own privacy policy for how they handle it)
- The buyer or author on the other side of a hardcover or paperback order, limited to the shipping details needed to fulfill and track that specific order
- Law enforcement when required by applicable law
4. Author Addresses & Hardcover/Paperback Delivery
- An author's exact street address is used only for delivery routing and is never shown publicly. Only a city/region/country summary may appear on the author's public profile, and only after our team reviews and approves it.
- Authors can choose to hide even the city/region/country summary from their public profile at any time; this does not affect their ability to sell or ship hardcover or paperback editions.
- Map tiles used to display locations are served by OpenFreeMap, an open, keyless map tile provider, so viewing a map does not itself share your address with a third party beyond what Geoapify already processed during search.
- Buyer shipping addresses are visible only to the author fulfilling that specific order and to our support team if needed to resolve a delivery issue.
5. Ordering & Dispatch of Hardcover & Paperback Books
When you order a hardcover or paperback edition, you're entering into that sale directly with the author who lists it - not with InceNar. Here's briefly how it works:
- After checkout, we pass your shipping address and order details to the author so they can pack and dispatch the book themselves.
- The author is responsible for shipping the order, choosing the carrier, and providing tracking information where available. Delivery times vary by author and destination.
- InceNar provides the storefront, checkout, payment processing, and address routing that connect buyers and authors, but we do not hold physical inventory and are not a party to the shipment itself.
- Because dispatch and delivery happen directly between author and buyer, InceNar is not liable for shipping delays, loss, damage, customs issues, or non-delivery, and does not process, mediate, or issue refunds for these orders. If an order doesn't arrive as expected, please contact the author first through the order page; if it goes unresolved, our support team can share each side's contact details with the other so you can settle it directly, but we do not take payment action ourselves.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including TLS encryption in transit and encryption for data at rest. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we continuously review and update our security practices.
7. Community Features (PostFliks)
PostFliks is our community feed where authors and readers engage with industry news and posts. Please be aware:
- Posts, replies, and likes made in PostFliks are visible to all platform users
- You can delete your own posts at any time
- Deleted posts are permanently removed from our servers
- You can block any user from interacting with your content
8. Your Rights

- Request deletion of your account and associated data

- Opt-out of marketing communications
- Block other users from interacting with you

10. Children's Privacy
- Our Platform is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 13 years old, or a higher minimum age of digital consent where required by local law. We do not intentionally or knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children below this age, and we rely on the age representations made when an account is created to screen for this.
- A child may nonetheless misrepresent their age and sign up despite these measures. Any collection of a child's personal information that occurs this way is unintentional and against our policy; it does not mean we knowingly collected it.
- If you are between 13 and 18, you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for reviewing our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy with you and for supervising your account.
- Because our payment processor (PayPal) requires account holders to meet its own minimum age (generally 18, or the age of majority in your country), only users who meet that requirement can publish books for sale, receive royalty payouts, or otherwise transact commercially on the Platform.
- If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable minimum age without the required parental or guardian consent, we will take prompt steps to delete that information and, where appropriate, deactivate the associated account.
- We do not knowingly serve targeted advertising to, or sell the personal information of, any user we know to be a child.
- If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, or you would like to review, correct, or request deletion of that information, please contact us and we will respond promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date.
12. Developer API Data
When you use our API, we log request metadata (endpoint, timestamp, response status) for rate limiting, billing, and operational monitoring. We do not log the content of your requests or responses unless necessary for debugging, and only with your explicit consent.
